Our proprietary software (FOUNDATION) combines both EPA and OSHA chemical tracking and reporting functions, and provides a basis or foundation, for all compliance recordkeeping and reporting.
Data access is available via Internet access through Cornerstone’s website and secured by confidential client password. Updates can be sent electronically as needed and a backup CD of the SDS images is also provided.
A new client engaged Cornerstone in order to better manage Clean Air Act compliance requirements. The facility was operating with add-on controls (oxidizers) and had been continually exceeding emissions allowed within their permit. Cornerstone staff conducted a comprehensive audit of processes and associated emissions.
Throughout the process, our team worked as an extension of client staff educating and strategizing to arrive at feasible and cost-effective solutions, including a customized, electronic management tool Cornerstone created to monitor material usage and corresponding HAP emissions. The tool enabled our client to plan their daily production schedule, accurately predict and balance HAP emissions on a line-by-line basis.
Within 60 days, plant staff had been fully trained on the electronic management tool and was operating in continual compliance. Throughout the process, Cornerstone staff worked to keep regulators updated on progress as well as the final resolution, which allowed the client to avoid potentially significant penalties.
